Heidi Redmond Raines

Heidi Redmond Raines, a business strategist, is the founder of Medical Executive Partners (formerly Chief Executive Partners). She compiles each team according to the needs of a particular project and assures the successful management of executive level projects to the private, public, and non-profit sectors of healthcare. Past projects have included start-up and organizational restructuring as well as interim management.

A short while ago, Heidi was the Chief Executive Officer at Michalopoulos Enterprises, an organization consisting of five independent businesses.  At Michalopoulos, Heidi provided overall risk management, financial resources coordination, new product implementation, and internal controls for each company while providing positive operational improvement and financial growth. While Heidi served as CEO, New Orleans City Business awarded its Innovator of The Year Award to one of the Michalopoulos businesses because of the successful reinvention of the company’s brand.

Previously, Heidi worked with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals where she lead a 1.5 year project in which she created and developed an in-practice clinical trials center for a private physician practice group.  As a result of her performance, Heidi received the Circle of Excellence award, an honor bestowed upon AstraZeneca’s top 5% Specialists.

Heidi has also served as Business Manager of the Department of Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology for the LSU Health Sciences Center.  Here she managed two sections of the medical school and private out-patient clinics, increased profitability by 152%, and created and monitored a multi-million dollar budget.

Additionally, Heidi worked as Senior Practice Management Consultant for Physician Management Group.  Here she successfully created business analysis plans for hospital systems in Louisiana and Mississippi, and prepared trending analysis for hospital owned and privately owned physician practices and clinics.

Heidi has served on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Video Access Center, the Board of Trustees as Vice President of Finance for a local cultural foundation, and was Co-Creator of the New Orleans Journal Club.
